Fernando Damon

Fernando Damon, a label head, drummer, and musician from Cape Town, South Africa, has opened for an impressive array of local and international acts, including Umlazi DJ Lag (Dbn, Black Major), SAMIYAM (Stones Throw, LA), Esa, and Zikomo. Most recently, he appeared on Nicola Conte's album Umoja on the legendary Far Out Recordings.

His distinctive sound and dynamic performances have solidified his reputation in the music industry. Fernando’s versatility is evident not only in his live performances but also in his extensive discography, which spans across various genres and styles. Whether drumming for a high-energy set or curating tracks for his label, his passion for music shines through.

In addition to being a member of the sound collective Dead Symbols and the Brixton No Jazz Society, Fernando has a prolific catalog of EPs, mixtapes, LPs, and remixes. His work has garnered attention from prominent figures such as J Rocc (Beat Junkies), Nightmares on Wax, Mr. Scruff, Monte Booker, and Gilles Peterson, among others.
